In August of 2016 I realized a stage in Castrode Cepeda (León), at the Esperanza Collado and Rafa Martínez del Pozo’s country house and Grabaciones de Campo sound study. They are responsible of the artistic association LEVE, founded in 2010, to create and offer a space for production in a natural environment. Annually, they edit sound publications on 10″ 45rpm vinyl conceptually inscribed in the idea of field recording.
There are three conditions to participate in LEVE: the work must be recorded/produced/realized in Castro de Cepeda, the shot must be direct, without overdubs or recordings on the main recording, and not exceed 2 minutes 15 seconds.
Mullir el terreno is the Loren’s voice recording –one of the 20 habitants living at Castro– while she’s working at the garden. She explains how the ground must be cultivated to gives us its best fruits and at the same time how I should recording the sound of its action.
