Her practice articulates relationships between feminism, spectrality, and the affective landscapes of the present, combining critical thought with poetic sensitivity. She is the author of the essay books <em data-start=\"490\" data-end=\"506\">Love Me Tinder<\/em> (Temas de Hoy, 2019) and <em data-start=\"532\" data-end=\"583\">Traumacore. Cr\u00f3nicas de una disociaci\u00f3n feminista<\/em>\u00a0(Cielo Santo, 2023). She has written numerous texts for artists\u2019 catalogues, institutions, and cultural platforms, contributing to a wide range of exhibition and publishing contexts, and has published short fiction, notably a story included in the anthology <em data-start=\"842\" data-end=\"857\">G\u00f3tico Divino<\/em> (Horror Vacui, 2025).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"886\" data-end=\"907\"><strong>Biographical Note<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"1429\">N\u00faria G\u00f3mez Gabriel (1987) is a writer, cultural researcher, and contemporary art curator. She holds a PhD in Communication from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona and was awarded the 21st Extraordinary Doctoral Prize in 2023 for her dissertation <em data-start=\"1158\" data-end=\"1232\">Spectropolitics. Image and Hauntology in Contemporary Artistic Practices<\/em> (2021). Her practice articulates relationships between feminism, spectrality, and the affective landscapes of the present from a perspective that combines critical thought with poetic sensitivity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1431\" data-end=\"1773\">She teaches at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Escola Massana), BAU \u2013 University Centre of Arts and Design of Barcelona, and the Higher School of Film and Audiovisuals of Catalonia (ESCAC), where she lectures in the Master\u2019s Degree in Visual Cultures as well as in undergraduate programs in Art, Design, Fine Arts, and Fashion Design.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1775\" data-end=\"2475\">She is the author of the essay books <em data-start=\"1812\" data-end=\"1828\">Love Me Tinder<\/em> (Temas de Hoy, 2019) and <em data-start=\"1854\" data-end=\"1905\">Traumacore. Chronicles of a Feminist Dissociation<\/em> (Cielo Santo, 2023), and has published short fiction, including a story featured in the anthology <em data-start=\"2004\" data-end=\"2019\">G\u00f3tico Divino<\/em> (Horror Vacui, 2025). She has written extensively for artists\u2019 catalogues, institutions, and cultural platforms, and regularly collaborates with media outlets such as <em data-start=\"2187\" data-end=\"2204\">TEXTE ZUR KUNST<\/em>, <em data-start=\"2206\" data-end=\"2224\">El Pa\u00eds \/ S Moda<\/em>, <em data-start=\"2226\" data-end=\"2229\">A<\/em>Desk Critical Thinking*, <em data-start=\"2254\" data-end=\"2276\">Caja Negra Editorial<\/em>, <em data-start=\"2278\" data-end=\"2322\">CCCBLAB Research and Innovation in Culture<\/em>, and <em data-start=\"2328\" data-end=\"2340\">EXIT MEDIA<\/em>, as well as with academic journals including <em data-start=\"2386\" data-end=\"2400\">Teknokultura<\/em> (Complutense University of Madrid) and <em data-start=\"2440\" data-end=\"2453\">Contratexto<\/em> (University of Lima).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2477\" data-end=\"3087\">Her work has been presented and developed at institutions such as the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof\u00eda, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA), the Centre de Cultura Contempor\u00e0nia de Barcelona (CCCB), La Casa Encendida, Hangar, Arts Santa M\u00f2nica, Fabra i Coats, TABAKALERA International Centre of Contemporary Culture, B\u00f2lit Centre d\u2019Art Contemporani, and CA2M Museo Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo, among others. She has also participated in festivals such as FEMTEK. Contemporary Artistic Practices. Feminisms and Technology, Kosmopolis. Festival of Amplified Literature, and LOOP Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3089\" data-end=\"3837\">She has served on juries for cultural grants and awards including the Injuve Grants for Young Creation, Hamaca Video-t Research, Hangar\u2019s Interactive Grants, the Creation Residencies at La Caldera Dance Centre, the Miquel Casablancas Award, and the Art Nou Primera Visi\u00f3 Award. In 2021, she received the <em data-start=\"3393\" data-end=\"3408\">IN\u00c9DITOS 2022<\/em> award from La Casa Encendida for her curatorial project <em data-start=\"3465\" data-end=\"3476\">LAS MALAS<\/em>, and in 2023 she was awarded the Barcelona Producci\u00f3 Grant from La Capella in Barcelona for the exhibition project <em data-start=\"3592\" data-end=\"3619\">\u00c1ngel Peligrosamente B\u00faho<\/em> [mourning, spectres, and materiality].
